Welcome to Golden Path Strategies

What Golden Path Strategies is, who it's for, and how to find your way around in a few minutes.

Golden Path Strategies is an analytics platform for long-term, rules-based trading. It publishes about 180 trading strategies, each with its complete backtest: every trade since 2015 (or since the market first traded), every drawdown (a fall from an earlier high), and where the strategy stands right now. You can combine strategies into portfolios to see how a mix would have behaved, and members can get an e-mail whenever a strategy or portfolio changes position.

What it doesn't do is trade. There's no broker connection and no wallet; it's a research tool that shows rules and their record. Keeping up with a strategy explains how signals and alerts reach you. And none of it is financial advice: the site shows what fixed rules did and are doing, and the decisions stay yours.

Everything works on a phone, but the charts and tables are easiest to read on a desktop or laptop screen.

Who it's for

It suits people who are happy to check in every few days, or just wait for an e-mail, and act a handful of times a year. Every strategy works on 5-day price bars, so a busy strategy might trade a few times a year and a quiet one once or twice. If you want to trade every day, or you're looking for a guaranteed profit, this isn't it.

The strategies are long-only. Each one either holds its market (Long) or sits in cash (Flat); none of them bets on prices falling. They cover BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), SOL (Solana), HYPE, VVV, crypto market indexes, chip stocks, the S&P 500 and gold, plus a few DCA plans that buy BTC gradually when it looks cheap.

The names are borrowed from the Dune novels (the Golden Path is the long plan in those books) and from Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and don't refer to people or funds. A letter and number such as T7 or C4 tell you the strategy is an index: several strategies voting, with T for a threshold of agreeing votes and C for a crossover of bulls over bears. Read a strategy card goes through the rest of a name.

The three parts

Strategies lists every strategy. It opens on folders by market; pick one such as BTC, sort by any number, and open a strategy to see its chart, its numbers and every trade.

[The Strategies page opens on folders: All Strategies, or one market such as BTC, Gold or DCA.]

Portfolios combine several strategies into one simulated account, with weights that say how the portfolio is split. There are 14 ready-made default portfolios, marked [GPS], that anyone can open; members can copy them or build their own. See What a portfolio does.

Alerts e-mail you when a strategy switches between Long and Flat, or when a portfolio's mix changes. They're part of the paid plan. See Alerts.

Everything except the most recent three months is free to look at, no account needed. Free and paid access explains exactly where the line is.

Open Strategies, click the BTC folder and open any card. You're looking at a full backtest.

The top bar

The same bar sits at the top of every page.

[Signed out: 1. Strategies, 2. Portfolios, 3. Docs, 4. Alerts, 5. Send feedback, 6. theme, 7. Profile, 8. Login.]

About and Pricing sit among the main links. On the right, the bell icon bell opens your Alerts, the chat round dots icon speech bubble sends us feedback, the moon icon moon switches to dark mode and the user icon person opens your profile. Login only shows when you're signed out. Account, profile and settings covers each of these.
